fic :: Nomads

When you're a Nomad on the continent of Jourllis, caution must always be taken when meeting strangers. Doubly so if you're caravan leader and responsible for the lives of your family and friends. You'll never be able to tell when the next friendly face you meet on the road turns out to be a Weapon or a Sorcerer.

Nomads, for lack of a better title, is a story about a woman named Hiloua and her encounter with a strange young man who calls himself Nari.

Notes: Nomads is a story written originally with intention to explore Nari as a character and to give him some depth. As the story progressed however, it became rather clear that Nari wasn't the main focus of the story until near the very end, if at all. Instead it focuses on Hiloua, Nomad, caravan leader and wife. Through her we learn that Nari is a very young, inexperienced and clumsy boy with a good heart and a lot on his mind. With a bit of wisdom from her and her family, he takes one step closer to being the amazing warrior he becomes in the future.
